Information regarding your reservation
To get there
Our floating sauna is located in the marina of Rättvik, see Bastuflotten på Google maps
From road 70, turn at the sign Båthamnen. Follow the road as it turns to the left. After 150 meters you can take off to the right. You will see a big tree and you can drive around it. Here is a parkingspace. You will also see two small rowing boats on land, turned up side down. We meet there if no other agreements are made.
In the summer time you use the rowing boat to get to the sauna. You can also walk out in the water. It is about 70 cm deep.
In the winter time you walk out on the ice. It is 30-50 cm deep and usually frozen all the way to the bottom. Out side the sauna the water is a bit deeper, around 110 cm deep, so there we make a hole in the ice for a refresing winter bath.
Payment
If you pay on site, we do not accept credit card, only cash or the Swedish mobile payment Swish. You can pay with credit card online when you make your reservation.
At the sauna
In the summer time you light the fire yourself when you arrive there. The sauna will get warm in about 20 minutes. In the winter time we light the fire for you so it will be pre heated when you get there. There is no electricity there but we light candles for you in the evening.
There is also a small indoor lounge for 6 – 8 persons, so it is nice to bring something to eat as snacks and something to drink. There is also a small sundeck to relax at in the summer.
There is no shower, but there is a watertank beside the fireplace that you can fill up with water and the fire will heat it up. The floor is self draining so you can pour warm water over you with the bucktets.
Bring your own towels.
Firewood is included.
Please bring all your belongings and leave the sauna as you found it.
Cancellation
If something happens and you have to cancel your reservation, it is no charge if you cancel before 4 pm the day before. Cancelation later than that we charge 100%
